Join us as a HR Professional - Global Mobility Services

 

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Global Mobility HR Professional to join our Krakow Team. In this role you will provide support related to the Firm’s Extended Business Travel (EBT) and short term assignment program. You will also support Global Mobility Services in connection with, vendor invoices processing, assignment documentation management, tax equalization payments and other associated GMS programs.

 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Ensure policy compliance and mitigate Firm risk in connection with visa and immigration requirements, labor law requirements, tax authorization, health care. for extended business travelers
  • Administer short term assignment policy in accordance with Global Mobility strategies
  • Serve as an internal resource for employees, HR stakeholders, managers and our external partners for short term assignments
  • Provide HR, line managers and employees with information about immigration laws and procedures for our assignment population.
  • Liaise with immigration attorneys to prepare immigration petitions for temporary work visas, visa extensions and permanent residence applications and to ensure the timely processing of required paperwork for short term assignments.
  • Ensure employee immigration records are maintained and retained for short term assignments.
  • Facilitate external vendor invoice processing and reporting to Controllers for tax and compensation consultant, global relocation vendor and other vendors engaged to support GMS.
  • Manage and track tax equalization tax refunds and payments
  • General responsibility for GMS Procedures, policy document updates, assignment letter templates, assignee folder maintenance, etc.
  • Manage the monthly GMS roster, RAG, project code set-up and GMS caseload report
     

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in expatriate, immigration and relocation management or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or finance preferred.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience working with relocation vendors and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interact with team members and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relocation and immigration of international assignees.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
