The Account Opening team facilitates the opening of cash and securities accounts in supported markets in accordance with local market practice. AOM manages the processes related to account openings for new clients, establishes accounts in new markets for existing clients, converts existing fund accounts into State Street's custody from other global custodians' custody, and oversees account opening amendments and closings.
Core Duties:
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all team deliverables
- Reviewing and sign-off of team deliverables and audit packs
- Management of staff within team
Key skills:
- 2+ years working experience in a financial industry or similar environment
- Supervisory experience preferable
- Proven team & workload management track record
- Strong organisational skills
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Capable of resolving problems effectively and independently
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment is essential
- An understanding of financial markets, global custody business will be an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel. MS Access knowledge will be an advantage
