Job description:

To lead and facilitate the execution and delivery of the Continuous Improvement program in CP (Contracting and Procurement) Operations within Shell Business Operations Krakow.
The Senior CI Coach role has 3 key components:
Deliver & Sustain Results:
The CI Senior Lean Coach will partner with CP Operations Senior leadership teams to drive improvement initiatives across the Operational Supply Chain Value Stream.  In addition, the role will support improvement Process Owners of the Category Management and Contracting Process and the Requisition to Pay Process.
  
The incumbent is expected to effectively collaborate with CP Operations General Managers and their leadership teams to help develop and implement business aligned improvement plans across their operational value stream.  Plan objectives include articulation of activities to achieve success criteria with measurable targets, development of CI funnels, the support on the delivery CI initiatives and associated CI Capability foundations.
 
The candidate will also support critical contracting and procurement process transformation projects by coaching and collaborating with the implementation teams to embed CI foundations (process efficiency measures, standard work etc) along the value stream. 

Collaborate with the CP Operations Delivery and Delivery Center Managers to develop business focused improvement plans across their owned end to end operational value stream.  Together, map, analyze and measure operational performance of bespoke value stream.
Work closely with Value Stream owners to provide technical CI expertise and insights; propose innovative business solutions to drive efficiency and cost reductions.
Support maturation of visual management and huddles (physical and virtual) to maximize business impact
 
Deliver & Grow Capability:
Train and coach across organizational levels in CP Operations on CI Ways of Working.
Deliver CI Practitioner training as part of extended PT CI team and coach CP1 and CP2 individuals successfully through to certification.
Support CI Alliance Networks in our SBO hubs (Cyberjaya, Krakow, Manila) in developing skills /ability to coach peers on CI tools.  CI Alliance Networks = SBO CI Forums and CI Practitioner Network
 
 Deliver & Grow CI Leadership & Culture:
Cultivate CI embedment in core strategic transformation projects.
Collaborate with the Information and Insights Manager to support design and delivery of data analytics related to the Supply Chain Value Stream.
Lead Kaizen events linked to CP Operations strategic projects, core processes or improvements linked to the Leadership Dashboard.  Take accountability together with the Sponsor for the delivery of improvements.

 

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a proven track record of on-time delivery of significant business results and possess strong, demonstrable improvement and stakeholder management skills; in leading change management efforts and interventions that have a large-scale organizational impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver targeted improvements and projects, on time, through the use of influencing skills rather than formal authority

  • Effective communication skills with ability to inspire (presentation, energetic conversation, and effective writing skills)

  • Solid change management skills for influencing behavior change in senior managers and staff

  • Formal internal or external CI certification, CI Practitioner, Black Belt, Master Black Belt and/or Lean Master, with ideally with A&A accreditation from RDS Process Leadership.

  • Excellent coaching skills in terms of both technical and non-technical aspects of CI

  • The incumbent will be expected to approve / certify CI Practitioners seeking certification.  There is also an expectation to skill up certified CI Practitioners to coach others/act as a business coach on A3 and JDI projects.

  • Professional experience in continuous improvement (CI) and with lean/ sigma which includes embedding improvement rigor, an improvement culture and organizational enablers such as visual management/huddles, standard work, leader standard work etc.

  • Experience in Supply Chain is beneficial but where not skills are not available candidates will be required to quickly learn the key processes (go see; standard operating procedures, high level value stream maps and associated performance metrics.
