Join us as a Jr Receivables Specialist

 

The Junior Receivables Specialist assists with the compilation of information from internal domestic departments and obtains foreign subsidiary information in order to process checks and wires to the firm’s general ledger accurately and timely and will resolve or escalate all client payment issues.

 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Learn and understand the firm’s receivables databases,
  • Collect, analyze and post data from various reporting systems to prepare proper application to the firm’s general ledger,
  • Perform quality review of monthly receivables balances,
  • Prepare and maintain procedures,
  • Provide management with daily status of receivables issues,
  • Review billing house account for aged balances,
  • Research and resolve wire/CAS control reports and provide manager with final reports for all receivables balances,
  • Partner and communicate effectively with Operations, Client Servicing and Relationship Management teams to resolve client inquiries,
  • Analyze receivables breaks and client inquiries and identify the root cause of the discrepancy and own resolution,
  • Escalate potential service issues to management,
  • Document issues, communicate root causes and provide innovative solutions to management for process improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) and/or equivalent work experience,
  • Financial Services experience,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access),
  • Proven aptitude for working with numbers,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,
  • Ability to work productively and effectively in a team setting,
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to solve problems,
  • Strong attention to detail and conscientious approach to delivering high quality results,
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities,
  • Client service focus and ability to utilize a flexible, positive attitude,
  • Focused on process improvement and achieving team and firm goals.
