The team in Poland supports Frankfurt Collateral Service team in the execution of the various tasks and processes for clients from multiple countries (DE, UK, IT, USA, etc). Clients’ portfolios include a range of underlying transactions (OTC, REPO, CCP, ETD, Security Lending etc). The service that is provided ensures all clients are fully collateralized on a day to day basis on each active agreement with their trading partners (counterparts).

Daily business consists of various activities like agreeing margin calls, customized client reporting, responding to queries from different departments, resolving issues, but also process improvements and amendments. Relevant monthly reporting is being provided internally and externally including key performance statistics.

German language is essential to conduct daily contacts with German speaking clients of clients or custody banks.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete/ Review client reporting ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Answer margin calls and queries from different departments
  • Reconcile collateral balances, investigate and solve discrepancies
  • Review and document process flows/procedures and contribute new ideas/procedures to further streamline the operational process
  • Involve in departmental ad-hoc projects
  • Involve in the training and development of other team members
  • Prepare monthly internal and external statistics
  • Being a point of contact for any routine/escalation queries raised by internal departments
  • Support for team leader; prepare and plan workload
  • Cooperate with German speaking stakeholder

Specific Qualifications / Skills:

  • Good command of German; effective communication – written and spoken
  • Good command of English; effective communication – written and spoken
  • Numeracy skills; attention to details
  • Accuracy and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook; Power Point and Word will be an advantage
  • Understanding of financial markets basics
  • Ability to collaborate and teamwork; organizational skills
  • Experience in finance or other related area
  • Knowledge of OTC markets/ derivatives instruments or VBA would be an advantage
