The purpose of the job is to transition in and carry out End to End accounting activities, specifically financial accounting period end close, tax accounting and reporting, local statutory accounting and reporting,  liaison with  internal and external auditors, for the assigned OpCo, in accordance with OpCo statutory and tax guidelines, and HEINEKEN policies and objectives, in order to achieve the agreed performance objectives (PPIs) and service levels, (SLAs), while contributing to on-going continuous improvement, process standardisation and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities would include:
  • Preparing local statutory accounts and financial statements in line with local GAAP

  • Performing corporate tax accounting and monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly tax reporting activities, including deferred tax calculation, statistical reporting and corporate income tax

  • Completing period end close activities related to statutory and tax accounting and other financial accounting activities

  • Sending intercompany dividend declarations requests for dividend postings

  • Performing accounts reconciliations, including balance sheet review and reconciliation between IFRS and local statutory accounts

  • Liaising with external and internal auditors

  • Providing own process expertise to other members of HGSS team

  • Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with local OpCo, other teams within the HGSS and key stakeholders

  • Consistently adhering to OpCo, local, Global and HGSS guidelines, policies and regulations for areas including Tax, Credit policy, Record to Report etc

  • Ensuring compliance with OpCo regulatory and tax requirements by following guidance provided by the OpCo

  • Supporting internal/external audits by preparing information as and when requested

  • Executing assigned process controls and proactively reporting any instancing of non-compliance

  • Responding to queries from OpCo via e-mail/telephone in alignment with service management processes

  • Identifying issues and using the agreed escalation route in a timely manner if an issue should arise

  • Participating as required in transition activities which may include initialwork shadowing in the assigned OpCo

  • Performing activities consistent with standard processes

  • Contributing to continuous improvement by proposing ideas, participation in projects and applying any agreed changes to processes

You are The Candidate if:

University degree; Master level preferably in Finance or Accounting; ACCA or equivalent qualifications would be an asset

Minimum 6  years of experience in Finance with experience in controlling/reporting 

  • Knowledge of financial accounting, financial regulations UK GAAP and IFRS

  • Experience in “big four” audit companies would be an asset

  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to effectively manage the relationship with OpCo Finance Teams and clients

  • Good understanding of ERP Accounting Systems (SAP, Oracle) is desirable

  • Proactive in identifying and solving problems/issues

  • A drive for continuous professional development in self and others

  • Excellent Microsoft Officepackage working skills

  • Excellent language skills in English
