
Job description:
As a core member of Aviation JV (joint venture) analyst will support the Shell Shareholder Representatives (SSRs) and JV Portfolio managers.
JV analyst plays the central coordination role in Aviation governance teams, supporting execution of the annually agreed programmes and ensuring alignment with the wide network of stakeholders (JV Directors, Subject Matter Experts and Business).

JV analyst has the key role in driving JV Governance, Risk and Assurance (GRA) activities and proactively managing JV-related risks: coordinating execution of annually agreed JV risk& assurance programmes and ensuring compliance to the MJV control framework.

Supporting global trade compliance to ensure zero issues is also a prominent role in the JV analyst work.

As a specific part of Risk mitigation activities, JV analyst supports driving HSSE & Operational excellence.

isual management commitment of the Directors, monitoring, analysis and reporting of HSSE and Inspection statistics and coordination of targeted improvement programmes.

The role actively contributes to the successful implementation of the Aviation strategy and plans through the following key areas

Monitor execution of JV assurance annual plans aligned with priorities.

Analyse and propose focused improvement initiatives.

Contract management: analyse existing ancillary agreements, identifying Key Focus Areas of existing contracts and facilitate gaps/actions closure for all type of 3rd party contracts.

Maintain up to date records associated with JV compliance to JV control framework

To support facilitating best practice sharing across the JV network, contributing to regional or global meetings as required

Development or refinement of tools and processes to address identified needs of JV businesses

Supporting delivery of 100% trade compliance across ~800 airports and 1.5ml refuellings per year
Shell Aviation is a dynamic business in the Downstream Global Commercial portfolio that is responsible for both fuel and lubricants sales. Unlike other transportation fuels, the aviation fuel market is growing at an average rate of 2.4% per year globally.

Ability to present the key massages at the correct level for the audience. Knowledge of data analysis and collaborative working tools.

Prior experience in dealing with Joint Ventures is a (big) advantage: understanding specifics of governance, JV processes, compliance and assurance

Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities

Broad financial knowledge and expertise: Financial Modelling, Management information, Valuation & Analysis, Controlling and Auditing is an advantage.

Aviation is a complex global business with many different internal and external stakeholders. Building consensus and an ability to align stakeholders is a key requirement for this role. Given the organizational structure, this role relies heavily on indirect leadership skills.
