Job description:
We are currently looking for an experienced Reward Management Advisor to join our Reward Management team in Krakow. The main purpose of the role is to create and maintain a high-performing organisation culture in a portfolio of countries and/or employee populations, by delivering programmes that reward and recognize key employee capabilities, skills, behaviors, experience and performance, and ensure that reward systems are market-relevant, equitable  and cost-effective.

Key accountabilities:

1. Reward Policy:
 
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders, within and outside Shell (including Country Chair, Business VP’s, VP HR, HR Managers) and propose recommendations for adjustments to market positioning and overall levels for constituent parts of the reward package 
 
- Analyse information from external benchmarking exercise and compare information against internal practices (eg. Manage Pay Benchmarking; Lead Country Policies Review)
 
- Analyse data and performance and reward information on individuals or groups and advise colleagues to aid decision-making. Provide research and analysis for HR or managers for non-standard/tailored reward packages (eg. Pay pressure cases)
 
- Participate in medium complexity Reward projects
 
 - Ensure that reward communication material contain clear, transparent and consistent messages about reward
  
- Explain to HR colleagues and employees how pay and reward fits and supports overall people processes and activities, such as performance management, based on existing policies & procedures
 
- Understand external market trends in Total Rewards
 
2. Reward Processes

- Manage the delivery of ongoing and annual pay and reward programmes for a portfolio of low-medium complexity countries under guidance of Senior Reward Management Advisor. This includes the processes for data submission to external surveys, market analysis and developing pay outcomes which are supported by the country. 

- Coordinate periodic holistic reviews of compensation & benefits offering to drive efficiency of the reward programs in a portfolio of countries
 
- Provide relevant analysis and reports as required for union/staff negotiations.
 
- Provide up-to-date data on current total cost of employment
  
- Gather feedback on reward programmes from employees and managers to feed into continuous improvement activity
 
- Coordinate low/medium complexity annual processes within the reward area


Challenges:

- Manage conflicting perspectives related to pay challenges, bring parties to consensus and a robust conclusion by balancing global standards, local budget and market pressures and ER/IR aspects. 

- Establishing a close, trust-based relationship, with country HR focal points in the region in order to agree a multi-year trajectory on pay competitiveness and stay on top of local developments.

- The role is part of a global team with work colleagues in various time zones. Must be comfortable to work and connect with colleagues virtually.

Requirements:
Experience:

- At least 3 years of HR experience with exposure to global Performance and Reward policies and processes

Knowledge:
 
- Knowledge of elements of reward package and how they combine to attract, engage and retain
- Methodologies and approaches for collation, analysis and evaluation of data
- Understanding of organisational reward procedures, policies and systems
- Awareness of what drives business performance and implications for reward and recognition
 
Skills:
 
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills. Uses logical persuasion, backed by evidence to support their
opinion or proposal
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, including advanced Excel capability/aptitude. Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources to evaluate their value and relevance to the decision at hand. Ensures details and facts are correct, complete and consistent, ensuring that conclusions drawn from the information are built on solid foundations. 
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
