The opportunity
EMEIA Tax Centre (ETC) is a center spanning across countries in EMEIA specializing in delivery of integrated finance solutions across the Regions and Sub-service lines. By using and developing the newest technologies including automation and analytic tools we are addressing the needs of our global clients in the rapidly changing tax environment.
The GCR group within EY’s EMEIA Tax Centre comprises a team of approximately 180 dynamic people spread across 13 countries and more than 20 sites. We have specialist skill sets spanning the areas of:
- Statutory Reporting
- Direct tax
- Service Management
- Finance BPO
- Indirect tax
- Fund Tax Management
- Payroll

multi country Statutory Compliance process from data gathering and validation through GAAP bridging between Group GAAP (US GAAP/ IFRS) and local GAAP to support in the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements.
Key responsibilities

Coordinate the global corporate accounting process and/ or statutory reporting compliance for Global Clients;

Coordinate and review the activities that are performed in the Centers of Excellence and EY local offices;

Provide detailed insight in the Group GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliation to group management;

Liaise with the Client Global Process Owners on the accounting processes and continuous improvement opportunities;

Develop, implement and manage new client strategic processes;

Coach, develop and growth the team of junior and senior accountants.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong project management skills, strong analytical skills and international focus;
- Qualified chartered accountant (ACCA, CIMA, KIBR) is an asset;
- IFRS and/ or US-GAAP knowledge, GAAP bridging experience is an asset.
To qualify for the role you must have
- 6-10 years of work experience in audit/accounting, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in working with global clients.
Ideally you’ll also have
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Business English.
