Job description:

PURPOSE:
Delivery of business reporting cycles, providing clear and articulate commentary to senior decision makers regarding the underlying business results. 
The Business Analyst will be part of a UK Planning and Appraisal, Reporting team responsible for compiling the reporting, forecasting and performance appraisal submissions, planning.
He or she will be working closely with functional stakeholders to achieve this goal, needing to understand their issues, constructively challenge their inputs and together deliver a high-quality submission.

Individually, this position will have responsibility for a wide variety of deliverables related to the reporting, forecasting and appraisal process. 



ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 
Preparation of performance overviews and appraisals (monthly/quarterly Working Capital MI Pack).
Preparation of cash model for BPC/Financial reporting submission – FYLE
Forecasting and planning for Working Capital.
FYLE Cash Tax/P&L tax – coordination of inputs and cooperation with TAX team
Ad-hoc analysis for leadership teams, including insights on Working Capital movements, short term cash forecasting.
Ad-hoc P&L/NIBIAT reconciliations and variance explanations.
Take ownership for quality check of data and analysis with specific assets focus, and for specific KPIs (Working Capital, Cash Tax, P&L TAX, NIBIAT).
Other tasks related to plan preparation (OPCA, Financials support, etc)
Coordination and consolidation of inputs for specific KPIs analysis related to LE and monthly appraisal - to support decision-making and drive the performance improvement agenda.
Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. UK Country FM/PAR Advisor), to deepen team's understanding of underlying issues within the Plan/Actuals/Forecast.

 

Requirements:

 

5-7 years of relevant professional experience
Sound experience and good understanding of financial accounting principles
Practical knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules).
Attention to details with ability to “High Level – Helicopter view”.
Tasks oriented with strong focus to meet deadlines and right first time.
Self-starter with a track record of performance and proven ability to deliver quality results under significant time pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal & leadership skills with personal confidence to quickly build credibility, respect and rapport;
Excellent communication skills, clarity of thought and ability to translate complex raw data into simple, powerful and easy to communicate key messages & insights
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Able to work across organizational boundaries with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization
Exposure or experience with continuous improvement (especially Lean) is welcomed
Excellent IT skills (SAP, Power Point, Excel, Management information systems).
