Who we are looking for

Performance & Analytics Specialist will assume responsibilities for final review of monthly and daily performance and attribution data and reporting prior to its release. The qualified candidate will be part of EMEA P&A team supporting client inquiries and day to day issues while managing the data process. The technical Senior Associate will partner and maintain relationships with Global Services and Global Delivery counterparties in order to meet agreed internal as well as external client targets and SLAs.

What you will be responsible for

As Performance & Analytics Specialist you will

  • Review of final monthly and daily performance data prior to its release
  • Day to day oversee of production teams, maintenance of Quality Control documentation explaining return outliers and custom client activity
  • Understand upstream data sources and applications for research purposes and exception resolution
  • Understand client reporting needs and manage deliverables / metrics for timeliness and quality
  • Actively look for ways to improve controls process and drive high-levels of quality (e.g., continuous improvements in quality control process)
  • Act as SME for processing teams on performance-related questions
  • Document maintenance on scope of service, procedures, risk assessments, contacts and deliverables.  
  • Communicate, manage, monitor and review change management (new funds-aggregations-indices-investment structure, etc.)
  • Liaise with internal State Street departments for the purpose of obtaining key inputs to service delivery

Data control, checks and reporting

  • Compare and confirm accuracy of performance data as it appears in the system
  • Escalate and advise service teams of any discrepancies and/or issues a timely fashion
  • Generate required reporting in a timely manner, as required
  • Ensure data is accurate and ready for client use

Other

  • Involve in departmental ad-hoc projects and other tasks as assigned by the Team Manager
  • Involve in the training and development of other team members as required
  • Actively participate in the development of new hires in the team. Supports and guides them in the knowledge of all technical aspects of the work, as well as in their work organization
  • Make recommendations for changes to processes and procedures and prepare documentation for review as required
  • Take responsibility for personal development and training

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience in an Investment Performance  (preferred) and/or a Fund Accounting Group
  • Very good knowledge of financial services, securities industry and capital markets
  • Strong knowledge of performance measurement calculations and standards
