As a Data Analyst for the Finance Performance Management and Data Operations teams you will design and build innovative solutions to a broad range of data, analytic and application topics. Our Data Analysts are focused on enabling the business to leverage data as a key value driver.
Key responsibilities include:
- Listen to stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their needs and priorities
- Research and identify data and analytical business needs and determine possible solutions
- Automate data sets for analytical, reporting or analytical consumption
- Design, build and operate robust and scalable dashboards and visualizations
- Perform light statistical analysis and machine learning
- Conduct data discovery, profiling, analyze data lineage and determine schema
- Model data in normalized, denormalized and graph structures
- Support data migrations in systems transformations
- Tenaciously solve problems and make decisions under uncertainty
- Actively contribute to team ceremonies including: sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review and retrospectives
- Demonstrate a strong ownership in understanding business needs and driving business valued outcome
Required qualifications:
- University degree in a quantitative concentration: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent
- 2 years of hands on experience designing, building and operating dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or equivalent
- 2 years of hands on experience working with databases and writing SQL queries
- 2 years effectively communicating complex topics with non-technical users
- 2 years applying statistical analysis
- 2 years of experience modelling data in normalized, denormalized and graph structures
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate proficiency with Python and SQL
- Passionate about learning everyday
- Fluent in English
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience wrangling data in Python leveraging Pandas, PySpark and SQL Alchemy
- Experience with cloud based data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake)
