As a Controlling & Planning Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in financial control within the Global Business Services (GBS), in Poland, examining financial results, coordinating the preparation of performance reports and commenting on financial statements for the Swiss ABB industrial entities. Reporting to the Controlling & Planning Team Lead, you will provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget, and forecasts in order to assist business leaders and stakeholders, helping to evaluate the impact of major decisions.

Your responsibilities

• Performing extensive analyses of business performance/compile information and preparing reports in support of management decision-making;
• • Supporting Hub and Division in reporting and closing processes; Monthly and quarterly closing activities
• • Preparing cost analysis, estimates, accruals, reclassification; Ad hoc analysis and reporting
• • Intercompany and Intracompany reporting and validation of accuracy, intracompany margin analysis and adjustments calculation and posting
• • Project Portfolio analyses
• • Overseeing and managing the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting
• • Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• • Working in close collaboration with local and senior leadership

Your background

• 5 years of experience in financial controlling/analysis; experience on advanced level in FP&A Operations will be an advantage
• Advanced Excel skills
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask
• Proven analytical and organizational ability; effective problem identification and solution skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; high sense of ownership, can-do attitude and ability to influence others
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Fluency in English: written and spoken
