We are seeking a Team Leader to join our Alternative Investments department. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Manager and manage a team of specialists and oversee preparation of financial reporting package. You will be a part of the unique team which has insight into end-to-end process and contributes to production of final deliverables for the clients. As a people manager, Team Leader will motivate, give instruction and monitor performance.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and postings prepared by Fund Accounting Services teams.
- Overseeing preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables such as Net Asset Value reporting pack (scope of work includes mix or selected tasks).
- Day to day management of activities of the team.
- Developing and maintaining familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing accounting framework, financial statements and disclosure.
- Providing feedback on agreed goals.
- Promotion of positive team atmosphere through strong leadership, effective communication, professionalism, and development of individual career paths.
- Assisting in special projects to improve efficiency, quality and accuracy of work performed by the team.
- Ensuring adherence to all established procedures, best practices and internal controls.
What We Value:
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in direct responsibility for managing, mentoring and coaching staff.
- University degree in Accounting / Finance or gained through experience is an asset.
- Genuine passion for gaining finance knowledge and continuous self-development.
- Fluency in English essential.
- Ability to work with a limited direct supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Professional accountancy qualification as an advantage (qualified or part qualified).
