Join us as a Quality Assurance Manager!

 

The Quality Assurance Manager is a curious, dynamic, and well-organized individual who has a track record for adapting and driving continuous improving in a development area as it pertains to testing.

The individual will be responsible for overseeing centralized functional testing for 2 business areas.  Scope of responsibility for the teams will include functional, regression, end-to-end, test automation, and client testing, as well as conversion and implementation planning. S/he will manage the test effort for large, complex, multi-system projects or programs.  S/he ensures standards and quality controls are met.  The Quality Assurance Manager works with the internal business and systems areas to guide software quality and following the latest industry standards. The individual is responsible for the effective direction and supervision of the test team, including team performance and development, recruiting, training and work assignment scheduling and guiding the team toward effective quality assurance activities that embed quality into our processes and behaviors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding QA/QM policies and SDLC processes are followed in a highly regulated business.

  • Participation in test strategy, automation estimation and planning discussions and staffing resource allocation.

  • Will apply a risk-based approach to testing in the context of prioritizing testing duties for the team.

  • Will follow a “One Team” approach to testing that includes all testing stakeholders are following a single test strategy and common testing practices from SIT through UAT.

  • Project status reporting, quality metrics and KPI reporting within the team.

  • Test strategy, status and test summary results documentation and reporting

  • Being a test automation champion and ensuring test automation is built, run, and maintained as a practice for all projects.

  • Expansion and development planning for existing framework to support new technologies and test coverage

  • Utilization of best practices with test tools and automation frameworks to avoid redundancy in manual and automated testing and keep maintenance to a minimum.

  • Helping to guide the development of new automation solutions leveraging technologies and tools like BDD, OpenShift, qTest, Selenium, Jenkins, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (Computer Science or related), or demonstration of equivalent experience/knowledge

  • 8+ years of relevant quality engineering work experience within an Agile team

  • Experience transitioning from waterfall to Agile and manual to automation centric testing.

  • Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and best practices, SDLC and managing testing to adhere to internal/external audit processes.

  • Experience implementing automation frameworks such as Selenium

  • Experience working with load and performance testing frameworks.

  • Highly proficient in JIRA.

  • Experience using quality management metrics/KPIs

  • Working knowledge of SQL, java, and Rest API’s programming/scripting skills
