Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

We are currently looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Quality Management Team.  This position is responsible for verifying standards and test procedures for software programs to ensure the highest levels of quality. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is an independent coordinator who often will be responsible for smaller projects all by themselves and are expected to operate with limited supervision. In larger projects, Senior Engineer will lead the effort and oversee the direction of the testing approach taken.

QA Systems team that Senior Tester will be a part of is responsible for creating and executing test scripts as well as structuring test scripts to facilitate their conversion to automated testing suites.  The QM team is responsible for designing, building, executing effective and efficient test approaches that balance risk with time to market. In this role you will be supporting testing of Fund Accounting Systems applications.  You will be closely coordinating with the Development team in building robust and thoughtful test suites.  Within the QM organization, we leverage industry standard tools such as Jenkins, Jira, qTest, and NeoLoad, Selenium, Test Complete and other tools, but we are also open to new tools and approaches where possible. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (computer science or related)
• 5+ years of experience or relevant work experience in a testing role
• Familiarity with SDLC standards and testing best practices.
• Understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Methodology
• Experience in Functional testing, System tests, Integration testing, GUI testing, Regression testing, Stress testing, Failover and Web Services testing.

Working knowledge or exposure to:

• Jira
• qTest or other commercially available script repository tool
• SQL
• Advanced test strategy to create efficient test coverage
• Front and backend testing

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Present a deep understanding of quality assurance
• Have a knowledge of software development methodologies
• Know SQL and understand how database works
• Perform Product analysis to understand the requirements
• Be able to create Test Strategy for a project or a testing effort
• Develop test approaches and test cases to ensure comprehensive testing coverage for each release.
• Act as the Subject matter expert to guide the creation of automated test suite by others in the team. 
• Ability to build or update test cases as required
• Report defects in the defect management system and ensure the status of the defect is tracked to closure
• Generate reporting on testing status at regular intervals to project stakeholders
• Have good communication skills and present pro-active
