Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting UX Designer.

Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a User Experience Designer to join the Digital product team and focus on designing compelling digital experiences for BBH’s Investor Services clients. The successful candidate will join a globally diverse team of product managers, business analysts and designers that engage on a variety of digital user experience projects ranging from incremental improvements to strategic new products. The candidate will also have opportunities to mature and continually modernize BBH’s design system, project methodology and tool sets. This role is highly immersive and global; the successful candidate will have opportunities to interact with BBH product experts, client service teams, technologists and engage with them to empathize, understand their goals and how you can digitally improve their experience with BBH.

This role will have exposure to the entire lifecycle of our design methodology including, discovery, ideation, prototyping, usability, implementation, and feedback loops. Depending on the project, the successful candidate may be engaged on one or all the methodology phases and deliverables. Our team thrives on collaboration, energy and innovation that deliver user experience driven product differentiation to our clients. In addition to UX design skills, the successful candidate will bring a collaborative and engaging style, building lasting relationships and trust with our primary stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or equivalent in a related field

  • +2 years of experience as a UX Designer

  • Portfolio that can showcase your design accomplishments

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (we use it in our daily work)

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, business, and product executives

  • Proficient in user-centered design, UX research, UX strategy, and interaction design.

  • Proven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of others, building / motivating / leading cross-functional teams

  • Highly articulate communicator who is able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner

  • Knowledge of website and product UX development cycles and activities

  • General understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, SASS, Angular

  • Experience using prototyping tools like: Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, Figma etc.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira)

  • Core understanding of visual design, typography, layout

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills

  • Skilled in managing and collaborating with a remote and geographically dispersed team.

  • Investment Management industry experience a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and mature client-facing digital experiences in the area of asset servicing

  • Analyzing business needs, user personae and journeys

  • Engaging with stakeholders and users to understand their product value proposition, challenges and opportunities

  • Defining digital opportunities using User Centered Design methods (user journeys, user scenarios)

  • Work collaboratively on design with other UX designers, product managers, users and business analysts

  • Seek and gather feedback from multiple sources

  • Participate in usability testing, identifying opportunities to remove friction from the user journey

  • Present design concepts and articulate design decisions to stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively with development teams and business analysts on implementing design digital experiences

  • Participate in product ideation processes, gathering context for design

  • Adapting design basing on feasibility, cost and feedback from stakeholders and technologists

  • Actively contributing to UX consistency by looking across all projects (assigned to other designers), reviewing, providing feedback, maintaining and establishing new common patterns

  • Proactively contribute to BBH Design System (UX guidelines, patterns and UI components library)

  • Support and collaborate with other designers

  • Proactively review the work of other designers and provide feedback

  • Assess and making recommendations regarding the design methodology

  • Participate in activities to grow and learn, including: conferences, training courses, collaborating with team members
