The purpose of this role is to operate our EMEA payrolls. In order to do this you will:

  • Work closely with our outsourced payrolll providers to prepare each monthly payroll.
  • Report to our Payroll Team Leader.
  • Work with internal stakeholders in Finance and our EMEA Office Heads.
  • Work alongside others in the payroll team sharing knowledge and experience and supporting them as and when needed.
  • Be responsible for the smooth operation of the EMEA payrolls in the following locations: Dubai, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Switzerland

What you will do

This role sits within the Payroll team and is responsible for the administration of 9 overseas outsourced payrolls, which collectively have around 250 employees.

The responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating and managing the complete payroll life cycle, including all local income tax and social security deductions, completion of necessary monthly and annual data/filings alongside our outsourced payroll providers.
  • Understand interpret and apply individual country specific statutory changes that affect payment of salaries.
  • Communicate and liase with employees, Head of IG overseas offices, payroll bureau, tax authorities and other third parties. Ensure quires from line managers, employees and colleagues are dealt with efficiently.
  • Manage the year end processes for all payrolls to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate current policies and processes and update and improve where necessary.
  • Respond to employee payroll related queries.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the EMEA Benefits Specialist in relation to employee benefits related questions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years payroll experience in EMEA locations.
  • Has strong written and verbal English.
  • Has a clear understanding of all aspects of payroll along with previous experience with different payroll packages and in managing outsourced payroll providers.
  • Is able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Is pro-active and shows good attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and who can manage multiple tasks and requirements simultaneously.
  • Experience with ADP Streamline and Workday preferable.
