Your role in the team
You will lead a small Krakow based team, reporting to Head of Quants in London. You will organize your team priorities, supervise the maintenance of code-bases and help to renovate existing processes. You will take an active role in recruitment and day-to-day management of the Krakow team.
Quants support the trading area based in London and as such you will have frequent contact with the trading team on a remote basis, in order to understand issues and listen to ideas for further investigation.
Quants have to be agile and support a range of business functions with analysis. You will be required to demonstrate considerable flexibility across different topics.
What you’ll do
The team purpose is to:
- Propose improvements to pricing models based on statistical analytics and backtested performance
- Propose improvements to risk reducing hedging strategies to offset the risk from OTC client trades
- Support the trading desk with metrics and visualisations to monitor performance
- Support trading desk initiatives relating to new products, new trading flows or new technologies.

What you’ll need for this role
- English - Near native proficiency in English
- Python - Workplace experience developing and maintaining python code for analytics
- Statistics - Degree or post-grad level qualification in numerate discipline Financial sector
- Must have 3yrs+ experience in trading, risk or quantitative analytics
- Management - leadership/management capabilities, minimum 2yrs+ experience
