Join a dynamic and rapidly growing alternative asset management firm as a Commercial Real Estate Finance Senior Associate. The company specializes in real estate debt funds and manages a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a background in accounting and finance. As a CRE Finance Senior Associate, you will be an integral part of the finance team, focusing on the real estate debt fund and the publicly traded REIT. Reporting to a manager in the New York office, you will be responsible for various finance and accounting tasks crucial to the success of the team.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entry posting and reconciliation of the Investment Portfolio
  • Conduct bank and cash reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records
  • Track expenses and liaise with Accounts Payable for timely invoice coordination
  • Reconcile positions to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information
  • Manage reconciliation of interest receivable and interest payable accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of Capital Call activities
  • Conduct valuation flux analysis to ensure accurate fund valuations

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of experience in Audit and/or Accounting roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
