
For our Client, an international company operating in the chemical industry, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Counsel, working in an international GBS environment with direct contact with businesses within the EMEA region. The role will have a strategic influence on legal services, primarily for the Healthcare and Life Sciences divisions. The company's office is in Kraków.

Requirements
- at least 8 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, gained in a law firm and/or in-house, preferably in a multinational environment,
- law degree and professional license to practice law in a European jurisdiction,
- solid experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts,
- proven ability to identify legal risks and communicate clear, business-oriented solutions,
- excellent organizational skills – able to manage multiple priorities across regions,
- team-oriented, culturally aware, and confident working in a matrix structure,
- strong interpersonal and communication skills in English,
- previous in-house or industry experience (healthcare or life science sectors preferred but not required),
- experience in managing or mentoring legal professionals is a plus,
- adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-changing business environment.
Responsibilities
- provide legal support for commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and approving contracts with key accounts and distributors,
- act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership teams across Europe on various commercial matters,
- offer strategic legal counsel in areas such as litigation, claims management, competition law, and regulatory compliance,
- support internal restructuring and M&A initiatives, particularly during due diligence and post-acquisition integration,
- collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align legal strategies with business goals,
- review and negotiate customer and supplier contracts, ensuring risk mitigation and legal compliance,
- provide high-quality, practical legal advice to cross-functional teams,
- supervise and mentor other legal team members within the GBS structure,
- partner with key stakeholders to understand business context and priorities, and ensure effective engagement of external legal advisors,
- contribute to a consistent legal approach across European operations.
