Your team

Finance Systems team is responsible for maintenance, support and implementation of system changes. We serve as the primary technical partner for IG Operations teams. We work closely with our internal IT departments and externally with our vendors.

What you'll do

  • Ensure smooth running of the finance systems software products included in this role
  • Be a main point of contact for the Operations teams and be responsible for maintaining, supporting and developing the systems and processes required to meet their internal and external reporting requirements
  • Be the ‘go to’ contact point for issues arising from the system processes for daily operations, including some out of hours incident management and support
  • Work closely with the Finance Systems and IT teams and our vendors to ensure that the data inputs to the system are delivered successfully and meet the required data quality standards.  This includes understanding and considering system and process interdependencies
  • System testing of all changes to finance software products, including arranging for key staff to test their areas of the software before going live
  • Manage selected BAU operational deliverables in the full project life cycle (requirement capture, solution design and incorporation into strategy, to final roll out and user sign off)
  • Documenting all finance systems processes and procedures supported
  • Provide training and support for finance system users
  • Maintain external relations with 3rd party Finance Systems support providers and advise on upgrades and improvement options

What you'll need for this role

  • Experience of working with a global customer/user base
  • Experience of working between Finance and IT departments and understanding the different objectives each work to meet
  • Experience of supporting Finance Systems on-prem and cloud applications
  • Working with normalised data models and ETL from multiple source systems
  • SNOW, JIRA or other ITSM tools
  • T-SQL, SSRS
  • Experience with AutoRek, iRecs, FiS Integrity tools is an asset
  • Attention to detail; taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities; strong team ethos
  • Analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work unsupervised, showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions
  • Ability to understand business users requirements and apply these to define systems solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
