We’re excited to share some big news: we’ve launched a new specialist group that works closely with PwC Germany’s Risk and Regulatory Practice. This team will play a key role in delivering high-impact consulting projects for Germany’s financial sector. You’ll get to collaborate directly with our German colleagues, dive into cross-border projects, and even travel to Frankfurt - immersing yourself in the heart of Europe’s financial world.
We are looking for:
Credit Risk Team Member with German
Your future role:
- Developing & documenting/ reviewing & enhancing credit risk methodologies (eg. IFRS 9, AIRB, stress tests) and models (PD, LGD, EAD, credit scoring models),
- Carrying out projects related to model validation or performance assessment/ monitoring,
- Responding to ad-hoc analysis requests, demonstrating clear understanding of risk specific measurements,
- Reviewing & providing best practice guidance on credit risk governance, credit risk policy and procedure framework,
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients,
- Daily basis cooperation with our colleagues from the PwC Network, especially PwC Germany.
Apply if you have:
- Fluency English (C1 level or higher) as well as ability to communicate in German,
- Completed or soon-to-be-completed higher education in the field of mathematics, econometrics, statistics, finance or computer science,
- Applied and proven knowledge of statistics,
- Practical knowledge of credit risk modeling concepts (IFRS 9 and/or AIRB methods, credit risk management processes),
- Profound knowledge working with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint / Excel),
- Interest in topic development and active participation in the German FS-Risk practice teams and availability for occasional business travel to Germany,
- Willingness to learn new skills,
- Proactive and problem- solving characters,
- Open, proactive, and honest communication style,
- Structured and self-organized work approach with high quality of results.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the financial sector (e.g., banking, insurance, other consulting firms),
- Knowledge of programming languages (C#, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, SAS) and packages for data science (tidyverse, sklearn, data.table).
