For our Client, a leading international industrial manufacturing organization, we are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of EMEA Regional Tax Director. The primary responsibility of the person in this position will be tax compliance and tax reporting, adhering to IFRS standards, across the EMEA region. The office is based in Kraków.

Requirements

  • minimum 8 years of experience in the tax and regulatory field, preferably in the international matrix organization structures,
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations and apply them to business operations,
  • previous experience in Tax Teams in BIG4 companies will be a strong asset,
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and senior management,
  • proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • fluency in the English language is a must,
  • experience working in a multinational company or professional services firm is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations across the EMEA region,
  • execute efficient review or completion of all EMEA entity/country tax inputs into the Group consolidation: budget, forecasting, year-end tax processes,
  • manage transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations and alignment with global transfer pricing policies and benchmarking,
  • oversee the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, WHT,
  • ensure all tax liabilities within the region are fully recorded and controlled - actively managing cash tax positions,
  • identify tax risks and opportunities, assess their potential impact, and develop mitigation strategies to manage tax risks effectively,
  • manage tax audits and controversies initiated by tax authorities across the EMEA region, including responding to inquiries, providing documentation, and negotiating settlements,
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and business units, to provide tax advice and support on various business initiatives, transactions, and projects,
  • build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
