
For our client, international fast developing company from medical services industry we are looking for Head of Procurement. The role has end-to-end responsibility for direct and indirect procurement categories in selected European and Middle East Countries, managing an annual spend of approximately €200 million EUR. The role can be based in Warsaw, or Prague offices or remote with readiness for business travelling up to 30%.

Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field,
- master’s degree or professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) preferred,
- minimum 8+ years of progressive procurement experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry,
- demonstrated experience managing both direct and indirect procurement categories,
- experience leading and developing small team will be a definite asset,
- strong strategic sourcing and negotiation skills,
- ability to operate hands-on while maintaining a strategic perspective.
Responsibilities
- develop and execute the regional procurement strategy aligned with business objectives,
- lead, coach, and develop a small procurement team,
- establish clear category ownership, governance, and performance metrics,
- act as a strategic business partner to senior stakeholders across Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Commercial,
- oversee direct procurement (e.g., raw materials, packaging),
- oversee Indirect procurement (e.g., IT, professional services, facilities, HR services, marketing),
- drive category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and supplier rationalization,
- lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable commercial and contractual terms,
- manage and optimize an annual procurement spend,
- deliver measurable cost savings, value creation, and working capital improvements,
- build and maintain strategic supplier relationships,
- ensure supply continuity and proactive risk management, including dual sourcing and contingency planning,
- lead supplier performance management, including KPIs, QBRs, and continuous improvement initiatives,
- continuously improve procurement processes, tools, and governance,
- establish standardized processes while maintaining agility in a growing organization.
