Our Data & Analytics function, originally based in Germany, is expanding with a European Hub in Warsaw to meet the growing demand for data solutions. Teams across both locations work together to deliver high-quality data products for international use cases.
Data Foundation — About:
The Data Foundation team ensures that high-quality data is easily accessible across VWFS, forming the backbone for all data-driven activities. From defining requirements to delivering reliable, integrated data, we support analytical, operational, and business needs. One of our teams, Fast Track, develops a cloud-based solution providing data mainly for sales and marketing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Technical leadership of a development team
- Collect, analyze, and understand the data requirements of our internal customers in all parts of the company
- Advise our internal customers on the design of efficient data-driven processes
- Create and maintain modular conceptual and logical data models based on these requirements
- Design, implement, test, and deploy efficient data integration/harmonization processes from a variety of internal and external data sources
- Design and negotiate interfaces and service level agreements with your process partners
- Advance the agile way of working at Data Foundation with your ideas for process improvements
You are a perfect candidate if you:
- Degree in Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field
- Approx. 5 years of work experience in implementing a modern data architecture as a requirements engineer, business analyst, database developer, or software engineer, including multi-year hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration/harmonization techniques (particularly SQL, Oracle, SAP BW/4HANA and Informatica PowerCenter)
- 5–7 years of experience in requirement analysis/management and software development (as a development manager), including proven experience in effort estimation for complex software requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
- Practical experience in agile work environments (preferably based on SAFe) using tools such as Jira
- Excellent English language skills (C1 level) and very good Polish Language skills (B2 level)
- Advanced project management skills to coordinate cross-functional efforts and ensure timely delivery of results
- Relevant certifications such as IREB, CBAP, and CDMP are beneficial/nice to have
- Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks like ITIL are beneficial/nice to have
- High level of customer focus, demonstrated on several occasions, ideally in a product owner role
