Requirements
- experience in General Ledger / Record-to-Report accounting,
- good understanding of GL and financial accounting processes,
- experience with month-end closing and financial reporting,
- knowledge of VAT and tax processes,
- experience with reconciliations and statutory accounting,
- good knowledge of Excel,
- experience with an ERP system - preferably Oracle, but SAP, JD Edwards or similar will also be considered,
- good command of English,
- Italian, French or German will be an advantage,
- analytical and well-organized approach to work,
- ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- managing General Ledger and Record-to-Report activities for assigned entities,
- performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities,
- preparing financial and internal reports,
- performing reconciliations and supporting European consolidation,
- handling VAT, Intrastat and Sales List reporting,
- supporting statutory accounting and tax processes,
- performing FX analysis, hedging and revaluation,
- supporting internal and statutory audits,
- preparing variance analysis,
- supporting process improvements and accounting projects,
- cooperating with other finance teams and supporting the Accounting Manager,
- for more experienced candidates, the role may also include greater ownership of financial reporting, VAT/tax processes and statutory reporting.
