Business Analyst - Finance (FP&A, R2R, Accounting, Controlling)
Business area
Global Finance Services (GFS) is at the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable to the AZ Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with exceptional business analysis and insight, enable our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities. Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning and forecasting and management reporting.
Typical Accountabilities
What you’ll do
As a Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in supporting your Manager in the delivery of the team objectives. You will be expected to build and maintain a strong relationship with internal customers and Business Partners.
Depending on the team and position you will perform a set of the FP&A/controlling tasks including:
- Performing month-end close activities and communicating financial results in a timely manner
- Preparing needed accruals, GL review, reconciliations, internal charges
- Balance Sheet Governance - preparation and review of month end closing reports and providing critical analysis of variations
- Working closely with business stakeholders providing analytical support
- Performing detailed P&L reviews
- Providing insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting
- Taking active part in forecasting and budgeting cycles
- Supporting the preparation of financial planning, presentations and financial analysis used for Senior Leadership reviews
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential for the role
- 2+ years of experience in finance area
- Fluency in English
- Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
- Communication and presentations skills
- Ability to solve problems, identify risks and propose solutions
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management
Desirable
- Experience in SAP
- Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
- Experience in working in a customer orientated organisation
