What this position is about - Purpose:
Tax Manager is responsible for tax compliance and internal advisory for JTI Poland. The role is connected with monitoring changes in the international and domestic tax law & practice on an ongoing basis and implementation of those changes into internal processes & procedures. The position aims at maintaining and increasing the quality of tax governance and tax compliance of JTI Polska.

What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Verification and approval of tax calculations (VAT, CIT, WHT, real estate), reconciliation of tax accounts, ensuring correct and timely filing
- Verification of contracts, internal procedures, processes and transactions to ensure compliance with the international and domestic tax law & practices
- Providing ongoing tax advice to the business in any tax matter raised
- Monitoring changes in tax regulations, analysis of the effects of those changes on business practice and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the implementation of appropriate changes within the organization
- Preparation of applications for tax rulings and other arrangements with tax authorities
- Collaboration with tax and customs authorities and support during tax audits, proceedings, functioning of the tax bonded warehouse
- Support in preparation of transfer pricing documentation according to local statutory requirements
- Support local and global projects from the tax perspective
- Compliance and execution of JTI policies, procedures and processes as well as JSOX controls
- Preparation and doing training for business stakeholders in order to enhance tax awareness across the organization
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- You have a University Degree in Finance, Tax specialization preferable
- 4-5 years of experience in Polish tax law (experience in the field of excise duty is very welcome)
- Tax advisor license will be advantage
- Fluent Polish and English
- Financial, Law and Tax technical knowledge will be advantage
- Accounting and SAP knowledge will be an advantage
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently as well within the team (one team mindset)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
