Requirements:

• 2+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment FMCG preferred,
• fluent English,
• experience in packaging, e.g., flexibles (plastic bags, paper bags), industrial (pallets, big bags), paper and rigid,
• source to contract experience in categories under responsibility,
• E-sourcing experience,
• demonstrated proficiency with PC software, especially SAP, Excel, Word,
• proven effective verbal and written communication skills,
• demonstrated effective negotiation skills w/some direction or oversight provided.

Responsibilities:

• Manage existing supplier relationships, cultivate new supplier relationships,
• Manages contracts and pricing agreements w/suppliers,
• Participates in planning and forecasting process and establishing standard costs. 
• Optimizes buying power and CBAs (current best approaches) by working collaboratively with Buyers from other divisions,
• Builds and deliveres cost improvement through effective category strategies, under the direction and leadership of the Manager. 
• Leads and assists in continuous improvements projects focused on reducing costs and improving efficiencies,
• Serve as a liaison for packaging team providing market intelligence and insights to support packaging category strategies, should cost, and horizon scanning.
