FS Consulting at PwC Poland is a vibrant team of experts helping financial institutions and large corporations in Poland and beyond tackle risk management challenges - from market and credit risk to operational risk and regulatory compliance.

We’re excited to share some big news: we’ve launched a new specialist group that works closely with PwC Germany’s Risk and Regulatory Practice. This team will play a key role in delivering high-impact consulting projects for Germany’s financial sector. You’ll get to collaborate directly with our German colleagues, dive into cross-border projects, and even travel to Frankfurt - immersing yourself in the heart of Europe’s financial world.

We are looking for:

Data Management Team Member with German

Your future role: 

  • Develop deep expertise in data governance frameworks, working with leading German banks and financial institutions on high-impact projects, 
  • Strengthen your understanding of critical regulatory frameworks (i.e. BCBS 239, EBA/ECB guidelines and more) by actively contributing to their interpretation and supporting their practical implementation within client environments, 
  • Explore modern data concepts such as data mesh, data fabric, and data modeling, 
  • Enhance your technical and analytical skills by working with programming tools (like SQL, C, Python, SAS, R), and by understanding how data flows through banking IT architectures, 
  • Work across disciplines, supporting clients in both optimizing their data management strategies and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, 
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals from PwC Poland and PwC Germany, building a strong international network and learning from diverse perspectives, 
  • Accelerate your career growth through continuous learning, mentorship, and access to cutting-edge knowledge in banking IT architectures, data modeling, and regulatory innovation, 
  • Enjoy a flexible and dynamic work environment, including opportunities for limited travel to Germany, where you’ll engage directly with clients and experience diverse work cultures. 

Apply if you have: 

  • Fluency in German (reading and writing), 
  • A university degree in mathematics, IT systems, programming, science, or a related field, 
  • At least 1 year of experience in data management (must-have), 
  • Familiarity with BCBS 239 and corresponding ECB guidelines (must-have), with practical experience in their implementation, 
  • A solid understanding of banking IT infrastructures, including architecture, data flows, and system interdependencies, 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, 
  • A proactive, structured, and self-organized work approach focused on delivering high-quality results, 
  • Open, honest, and proactive communication skills, 
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and collaborate with the German team and clients. 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and modern concepts such as data mesh or data fabric,
  • Basic programming skills or understanding of SQL, C, Python, SAS, or R.
