We are seeking a Junior Test Analyst / Engineer to join our Quality Engineering practice.  Quality Engineering is part of the EY Technology Consulting practice supporting our clients across the CESA & EMEIA Region.  The team focuses on technology and innovation, helping our clients to understand the impacts and opportunities presented with the evolving technology environment. We support our clients in navigating these changes, enabling their business strategy through the application of technology and innovation, and expertise in major IT transformations. We enable clients to measure and improve IT effectiveness increasing the overall return on technology investment.

In this role, you will work closely with our technology solution delivery teams to assist in the testing and quality assurance of software applications. Your primary focus will be on automating, running test execution and reporting software defects, ensuring that software applications meet customer requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in testing activities for new and existing software applications,
  • Work with the software development team to identify and resolve issues that affect software quality,
  • Business requirements analysis and test scenarios design,
  • Test scripts and test execution flows implementations,
  • Assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for IT system,
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases suite,
  • Help to identify and implement new testing methodologies to improve the quality of our software products,
  • Report software defects and work with the team to track and resolve issues,
  • Follow established testing processes and procedures to ensure high-quality software products,
  • Work with the team to ensure that software testing deadlines and milestones are met.

Must-to-have:

  • Understanding of QA best practices and testing philosophy.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Fluency in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Knowledge of at least one testing framework: pytest, RestAssured, Selenium, or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with designing automation frameworks for UI, contract, and E2E testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.
  • Basic SQL knowledge (database querying and management).
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice-to-have:

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Developer, QA Engineer, or similar role.
  • ISTQB or CSTE certification.
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) or Google Cloud Foundations certification.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud.
  • Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
