Business Transformation Senior Director (RTR, Finance, Consulting)

Your role

You will leverage deep Record-to-Report (R2R) process expertise to drive operational excellence and standardization across global finance functions. A key part of the role is leading and supporting large-scale transformation programs within GBS/SSC/BPO environments, ensuring effective change and measurable business impact. You will apply strong consulting skills to diagnose process issues, design target operating models, and guide stakeholders through complex digital and organizational transformations. In addition, you will utilize your solid understanding and hands‑on experience with Controllership and R2R technologies such as BlackLine, Trintech, Workiva, Celonis, RPA, and Intelligent Automation solutions to deliver scalable, technology‑enabled improvements.

Your tasks

• Drive and lead process and technology transformation projects within Finance, supporting Transformation Managers in the successful development and delivery of the project deliverables.
• Sell & deliver projects related to target operating model design, process design, technology maturity assessment, benchmarking, GBS / SSC setup, automation potential assessment, ERP/Platform solutions implementation, and change management.
• Utilize your process and technology expertise to provide improvement recommendations to steer clients in their transformation journey.
• Interact with Client senior stakeholders and collaborate with the Client to complete assigned deliverables & drive the transformation agenda.
• Keep abreast of technological developments, their strengths and weaknesses, and suggest technology-related improvements.
• Build knowledge and understanding of market-leading assets and methods (e.g., Digital Global Enterprise Model (DGEM), S4 transformation, ESOAR transformation method, RPA Technologies, etc.).

Your profile

• Proven experience in finance transformation and strong end-to-end process knowledge within finance (Controllership, Record to Report) with a very good understanding of GBS/SSC/BPO operating models.
• Proven evidence of leading transformation projects across finance and accounting streams with full accountability for deliverables, team, timeline & budget.
• Very good understanding and/or implementation experience of R2R technologies (Blackline, Trintech, Workiva, Celonis, RPA, Intelligent Automation solutions).
• Ability to shape a transformation story & sell transformation projects leveraging available offers & products.
• Experience and awareness of RFI/RFP processes, negotiation skills, executive presence & managing senior stakeholders.
• High level of consulting skills including hypothesis-driven analysis, collaborative meeting management, data collection & diagnostics, storytelling & storyboarding.
• Continuous Improvement, Client value, and Innovation mindset with proven benefits delivered.
• Ability to articulate the business case for change / implementation of recommended solutions.
• Experience in process mapping (Visio, Business Optix, Signavio, Aris) including BPMN notation awareness.
• Process and technology maturity assessment experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
