So, who are we?
IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses. The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next. Join us at IG – the future gets built here.
Your Team:
IG is a global business based in 18+ locations, and the Internal Audit function covers the entire business from 3 main locations. This role will assist the global team to perform audits remotely of all global locations.
With the new roles we are a team of 14 with a variety of backgrounds and skills — a close-knit team that works alongside the business in a collaborative and engaging manner. We are varied individuals but one team with a common goal. We enjoy cooperation and knowledge sharing across the team, regular team building events, exposure to processes and people globally, and direct interaction with Execs and Senior Managers as key stakeholders.
Your role in the team's success:
You'll play an active part in delivering audit assignments across a broad range of business areas — assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls, documenting findings to a high standard, and engaging with stakeholders at operational and management level. You'll contribute to clear, well-structured audit reports, track management actions through to resolution, and continuously build your understanding of IG's products, markets and regulatory environment as your internal audit career develops.
What you'll need for this role:
- Experience in internal or external audit, ideally in financial services or a regulated environment — Big 4 backgrounds very welcome
- Hands-on experience of controls testing, risk assessment and process walkthroughs
- A working understanding of how financial and operational processes are assessed in a regulated business
- Confident with Excel for data analysis and validation; SQL, Python or visualisation tools a bonus
- Qualified, or actively working towards ACA, ACCA, CIA or CISA
- Curious, collaborative and dependable, with strong communication skills and an eye for detail
