For our Client, a well-established and dynamically growing international organization employing over 500 people, we are looking for an experienced Country HR Manager to lead the local HR function and support the company's continued growth and organizational development. Based in the western part of Warsaw, this is a strategic leadership role combining operational excellence with business partnership. The successful candidate will lead a team of seven HR professionals and work closely with local and international stakeholders to drive people initiatives while ensuring full compliance with labor law and HR administration standards.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role such as Local HR Manager or Country HR Manager,
  • experience within a medium or large organization (500+ employees),
  • previous background in the retail, trade & services, FMCG, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors will be highly valued,
  • strong expertise across both soft HR (talent management, employee development, organizational development, performance management, employee engagement) and hard HR (labor law, HR administration, payroll processes, compensation and benefits),
  • solid understanding of Polish labor law and HR compliance,
  • proven experience leading and developing HR teams,
  • excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership,
  • business-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills,
  • fluent English (spoken and written) is essential, as the role involves regular communication within an international environment,
  • university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • lead and develop the local hr team (7 FTE), ensuring high standards of service delivery across all HR areas,
  • act as a strategic HR business partner to the local leadership team, providing guidance on organizational design, talent management, employee engagement, and performance management,
  • partner closely with senior stakeholders across several european countries, ensuring alignment of local HR initiatives with regional business priorities and supporting cross-border collaboration,
  • build strong relationships with regional and international business leaders, providing trusted HR advice and contributing to strategic decision-making across multiple markets,
  • develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives,
  • oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, succession planning, and retention initiatives,
  • ensure compliance with polish labor law and internal HR policies,
  • supervise HR administration, payroll processes, and cooperation with payroll providers or internal payroll specialists,
  • manage employee relations and provide expert support in complex employment matters,
  • drive HR projects focused on organizational effectiveness, leadership development, change management, and employer branding,
  • analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support business decision-making,
  • collaborate with regional and global HR teams on international initiatives, HR transformation projects, and the sharing of best practices.
