About the department
In this role, you will be completing RFPs and other new business or client-related questionnaires which accurately and favorably represent the organisation, and its investment products and services, to prospective clients and their advisers. As a Senior RFP Specialist, you will have responsibility for completing and/or coordinating Request for Proposals (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and other external client-related requests.
How you will add value
- You will assist with completion of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and surveys
- You will ensure all appropriate approval/review steps have been completed and documented for each submission, with inputs from other RFP members, Product Management team and the Distribution team
- You will support the update of existing content, distinguishing between opportunity-specific customization and generic content
- You will build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and business partners
- You will develop understanding of external clients and their requirements, our investment products, and distribution and product management priorities
- You will review your own work and submissions by other RFP Specialists, to ensure consistency with best practice guidelines, and that draft responses meet external client requirements and accurately positions the organization
- You will prioritize your own workload to adhere to the project timeline, highlighting any challenges or resource constraints in advance
What will help you be successful in this role
Experience, Education & Certifications
- Experience writing RFPs / tenders within asset management, finance or consultancy
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the Asset Management environment across institutional and retail channels with good knowledge of financial markets globally
- Understanding of the range of products we offer such as equity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives
- CFA designation (or working towards one) or IMC would be advantageous but not required
Technical Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus experience of proofreading
- Proficient with statistical information, able to understand data and use it to provide evidence in support of written statements
- Good MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are needed, with knowledge of Qvidan or other content databases being ideal
- Other European language a plus
Soft Skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders across the business
- Meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of data, language and grammar, and general layout/presentation
- Able to manage multiple tasks and flexible/adaptable to allow you to adjust to changes in workflow and meet tight deadlines
