For our client, an international technology company that designs and manufactures connectivity and sensor products for harsh environments in a variety of industries, we are looking for a
Responsibilities:
- work with the EMEIA tax team to develop tax-efficient operating structures and to implement pan-European tax planning initiatives,
- support business units and other departments with the implementation of regional projects and business integrations,
- review US GAAP tax provisions, including Return-to-Provision true-up analysis, applicable income tax reserve and valuation allowance positions, of each legal entity on a quarterly basis,
- manage, develop and enhance tax accounting processes for the EMEIA region working closely with the US tax accounting team,
- monitor local country tax compliance processes (filings, payments, assessments, etc.) to ensure compliance with local legislation and company policies,
- take ownership of corporate income tax audits for designated countries and assist as necessary in VAT, M&A, and Reorganisation matters,
- work with US Transfer Pricing team to review Source P&Ls and Transfer Pricing documentation for designated countries,
- update tax planning models to forecast the utilization of tax attributes and changes in tax positions.
Requirements:
- excellent accounting skills (US GAAP or IFRS) and specific knowledge of accounting for income taxes. Ability to work with OneSource Tax Provision software a plus,
- understanding of international tax planning and transfer pricing concepts,
- strong organizational and project management skills,
- willingness to own objectives and to drive the work necessary to accomplish them,
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusting and sustained relationships across geographic distance and diverse cultures,
- university (or similar) degree in Business or Economics,
- 2 to 4 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or a multinational enterprise,
- previous experience with income tax accounting under US GAAP, IFRS, or other similar accounting and reporting framework,
- fluency in ENGLISH is essential.
