Middle Office team in State Street is the link between Front Office Traders and Backstage of financial market. We sit in the center where our role is to support clients’ investments through confirmation and market settlement of the transactions made. It means we speak directly with “the street”: Investment Managers, Banks, Brokers, Custodians and other parties from around the globe. We have under the bonnet knowledge of full lifespan on investment – from client-driven execution through settlement on the financial markets, SWIFT know how and expertise inclusive.  Our main duties comprise of supporting FX, Cash, Equity, Fixed Income, Money Market trades, showing how financial world is built in practise and offering a front row seats to observe it’s ever changing nature. Joining us means being part of real time investment operations, gaining unique perspective of financial markets. Middle Office suite of functions is diverse and so is our talent – you’ll be partnering with people, who are really into this.

 

Who we are looking for

You would become middle office operations functional Lead a subset of clients /function and taking full ownership and deliverables for FX and Money Market across shift and sides in Poland . As Head of FX and Money Market you will make your mark by forming and executing firm strategy for Middle Office Tower. Senior Leaders will rely on your vision, leadership and ability to deliver established goals.  Vice President is a senior audience liaison –function that typically represent MO during client meeting, onboarding activities and acts as senior escalation contact.

 

Your new role

As Head of FX and Money Market you will

  • Manage Middle Office teams and Pperations.

  • Forge solid and trusted working relationships to motivate and develop your staff

  • Assist Business Unit Head in executing overall business plan for assigned areas through taking ownership in implementations of global changes

  • Create and maintain all critical business relationships, both internally and externally

  • Maintain Middle Office unit operations performing trade confirmation & settlement for multiple Investment Mangers across FX, Money Markets and supporting Fixed Income, Equity, Cash and Unit Trust functions

  • Represent Middle Office on forums where senior presence is required.

  • Be accountable for delivery of KPI/KRI, governance, audits reports and other MI reporting as required

  • Identify opportunities for transformation and process improvements

  • Work with client and program teams for client onboarding

 

What we value

Skills and expertise needed to perform this function

  • 10 years  of relevant operations experience is required. Middle Office experience is preferred

  • 5 years+ in management function; strong leadership, communication and ability to work in the team.

  • Financial background, degree in economy, finance and/ or experience in the field.

  • Customer-oriented mindset, solution-driven. Ability to work with Third Party Senior Management.

  • Capability of working efficiently within culturally diverse environment, ability to negotiate and influence in a group discussion.

  • Solid financial markets working knowledge; familiarity with market cut offs for various financial products and settlement methodologies. Understanding of industry participants, tendencies,  changes (MIFID, T2S) and tools (platforms)
