IT Compliance Team Leader

We are now looking for a professional, who is able to take the position as IT Compliance Team Leader in the Finance & Treasury IS Domain. The position requires a strong mindset to ensure compliance aspects are managed throughout the organization, at the same time as it offers great opportunities to gain insight across multiple important business processes and related technologies.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive key IS Compliance activities locally
  • Perform and manage Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities across Finance & Treasury IS Department
  • Address, monitor and follow up on deficiencies and remediations for underlying services.
  • Monitor and follow up on quarterly controls performance
  • Manage process & control walkthroughs and assessments
  • Ensure ownership of controls is clearly defined
  • Support in setting up new controls or change controls, incl. assessment of documentation for new projects and services
  • Coordinate controls standardization initiatives with the Corporate IS Compliance Team
  • Monitor and propose improvements of controls
  • Train Department staff regarding IS Compliance
  • Participate in external audits: Manage meetings with auditors and drive the Team through the process
  • Take lead on new compliance activities and projects as agreed with managers
  • Supporting performing of the IS Entity Level Controls

Your background

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting (General Ledger/Financial Reporting/Fixed Assets)
  • Practical knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle)
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills (functions, pivot table)
  • Understanding of General Ledger, financial accounting, reporting, controlling, internal control or investment
  • Proficiency in business English
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines and stress situations
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or business are a strong plus
  • We are looking for a person who has
  • Managed, owned, performed and/or tested SOX compliance controls
  • Strong understanding of IS processes and their connection with business processes
  • Good work structure, action-oriented approach and commitment to solve issues and deliver results
  • Experience from at least small scale IS project management
  • Team player qualifications and stakeholder management skills
  • Good and effective in communication, fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IS
  • Strong knowledge of applications administration & operations, some IS development processes know-how
  • Prior experience of IT General Controls for SOX compliance is vital
  • Understanding of the IS governance, risk and compliance context, preferable with a relevant certificate (e.g. CISA/CISM/CGEIT/CRISC)
  • Degree in Information Technology, Information Assurance or similar
  • Experience from financial processes such as financial reporting or treasury activities is of advantage
