K2 is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative individual to join the team as a Specialist in the K2 Middle Office. The individual in this position will work on the team of 3 operations professionals and report into the Head of Operations who along with the investment team are based in Stamford, CT & New York, NY.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Specialist K2 Middle Office?

  • Works with internal & external service providers to solve a wide range of day-to-day operational issues.
  • Escalation point for all front office operational related issues/questions.
  • Cash Management: Monitor daily cash levels within portfolios, transfer funds across accounts to optimize cash balances, invested cash and avoid failed funding requirements.
  • Onboarding of sub-advisors across 40act, UCIT, and other K2 products and ongoing facilitation of derivative onboarding, testing, approval process with stakeholders.
  • Trade entry and support for K2 Portfolios.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Practical knowledge of securities operations across the post trade life cycle.
  • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills
