For our Client, a global manufacturing company, we are looking for candidates for a position of IT Security Engineer. As IT Security Engineer you will be part of the IT Operations team and representing one of the three pillars of Group’s organization which consists of IT Operations, ERP Implementation, and Data & Analytics. The reporting line is to Global IT Operations Manager. The IT Operations team is a geographically dispersed team and collaborates mainly through digital communication channels. As IT Security Engineer you will be responsible for all IT security and compliance in medium sized manufacturing group, this includes cloud, datacenter, hosted, and on-prem systems. You will provide guidance and oversight for IT Security and compliance for 20+ entities globally.

Requirements:
  • B.Sc./B.A. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar,
  • at least 4 years of proven experience in a comparable position,
  • experienced in participating in projects with teams from a variety of cultures and languages,
  • fluent in English (written and spoken),
  • customer Service mindset,
  • willing to occasionally travel (estimated 2–3 times per year),
  • excellent communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences,
  • extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 Defender, including Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Endpoint,
  • proficiency in Microsoft Purview (formerly Microsoft Information Protection), including data loss prevention, information governance, and compliance management,
  • experience in Azure security tools and features, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault,
  • familiarity with Azure Identity and Access Management, including Azure Active Directory and Conditional Access policies,
  • ability to perform threat analysis and utilize threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks,
  • familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001,
  • experience in implementing controls and processes to meet compliance requirements,
  • knowledge of encryption standards and technologies to protect sensitive data both at rest and in transit,
  • experience with security auditing tools and practices,
  • proficiency in monitoring security systems and interpreting logs for potential threats,
  • understanding of network protocols, firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs,
  • ability to automate security tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
Responsibilities:
  • implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures across all IT systems,
  • regularly assess the IT infrastructure for vulnerabilities and apply necessary security patches and updates,
  • develop and manage incident response protocols to swiftly address security breaches or threats,
  • design and update IT security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements,
  • ensure compliance with policies across all departments and global sites, conduct regular IT risk assessments to identify potential security threats,
  • develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks,
  • stay updated with relevant local and global IT security laws and regulations,
  • ensure all compliance with these regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.,
  • develop and deliver security awareness training for all staff,
  • promote a culture of security mindfulness across the organization,
  • with network engineer, monitor and secure the network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches,
  • implement security measures for both on-premises and cloud-based systems,
  • oversee the protection of sensitive data, ensuring encryption, backup, and disaster recovery plans are in place and effective,
  • collaborate with legal & intellectual property managers to develop strategies for protection,
  • in cooperation with the global audit team, conduct regular security audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures,
  • prepare and present security reports to management, highlighting risks, compliance status, and mitigation strategies,
  • work with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure they comply with our security standards,
  • conduct security assessments of third-party solutions before integration,
  • lead the response to any IT security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on operations,
  • develop and maintain effective disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies,
  • close coordination with other IT Professionals from a variety of other infrastructure disciplines.
