Your Team

This role is part of our Finance Systems and Change team -- we're responsible for optimizing our finance technology landscape, maintaining business-as-usual operations of systems across all finance divisions, and driving digitization initiatives across our global finance function. We deliver system enhancements, implement new solutions, and ensure our finance systems support both operational excellence and strategic business objectives.

Your role in the Team's Success

As a Finance Systems Support Analyst, you will ensure critical finance systems remain operational, reliable, and aligned with business needs across our global operations. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will directly enable finance teams to deliver accurate reporting, maintain strong controls, and support strategic decision-making. By managing system integrations, developing robust solutions, and providing expert support, you will be instrumental in maintaining business-as-usual operations while driving continuous improvement across our finance systems landscape. You will act as the vital link between finance stakeholders and technology, translating business requirements into effective system solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability.

What you’ll do

  • System administration including metadata, dimensions, rules, business rules and system integrations for assigned finance systems
  • Requirements capture, system design and development of applications
  • Work closely with the Finance Systems team and wider finance to implement and, where required, add to the finance architecture strategy. This includes understanding and considering system and process interdependencies
  • Understanding of the end-to-end integration paths for metadata and data moving through Finance Systems
  • Ensure the alignment of metadata definitions across systems through consistent development decisions
  • Ensure full System Integration Testing / User Acceptance Testing is conducted on all changes to ensure that data is moving between applications in a controlled manner and in line with the overall group IT change control policies
  • Develop process and procedure documentation for ongoing maintenance of assigned system
  • Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party support providers and escalation of relevant issues
  • Be the 'go to' contact point for issues arising from the system processes for daily operations
  • Provide training and support for finance system users
  • Project manage selected operational deliverables through full project life cycle (requirement capture, solution design and incorporation into strategy, to final roll out and user sign off) where required

What you'll need for this role

Key Qualification Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Mathematics or similar field
  • 1-3 years experience in finance systems support, IT helpdesk, or finance operations with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail under pressure
  • SQL querying skills with ability to read, understand, and write basic queries for data validation and investigation
  • Microsoft Excel at intermediate to advanced level
  • Experience with finance systems administration or support (e.g., general ledger, AP/expense tools, consolidation platforms, reconciliation systems, or FP&A tools)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (SNOW, JIRA, or similar) and understanding of incident management processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with methodical troubleshooting approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate business requirements into systems solutions
  • Customer service mindset with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to provide support outside standard hours when business-critical situations require immediate attention

Highly Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with one or more finance systems platforms: SUN Systems, Concur (Expense/Invoice), HFM/Essbase/FDMEE)
  • Power BI or other business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik) with understanding of DAX, M language, or data modelling concepts
  • Scripting or programming knowledge (Python, PowerShell, VBA) for automation and data manipulation
  • Understanding of APIs and system integrations
  • Experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (SSIS, FDMEE, Unity, or similar)
  • ITIL Foundation certification or process improvement knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma basics)
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities including ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data
  • Understanding of financial control frameworks or segregation of duties principles
